The Swiss Agile Research Network is supporting a study about the challenges in the maintenance and the evolution of software systems.

While IT industry made significant progress in the early and frequent delivery and deployment of new software releases, also thanks to agile methods and devops, IT industry still struggle with major challenges in the ongoing maintenance and evolution of such systems, especially long-living and large-scale software systems.

In this online survey, conducted by the CS department of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, we want to find out, what the major challenges are, and how we could potentially address them.
